# Mountain Rose Design System

## Brand Feel

Mountain Rose should feel like a premium leather boutique and editorial fashion catalog: elegant, warm, mature, handcrafted, calm, luxurious, refined, and timeless. The rose identity should be subtle and sophisticated, used as an accent rather than a dominant decorative motif.

## Typography Direction

- Headings should feel editorial, elegant, and boutique-like. Prefer a refined serif stack through the `font-heading` token.
- Body text should be calm, readable, and premium. Prefer the `font-body` token.
- Use generous line height for long copy and avoid compressed, aggressive, or tech-startup typography.
- Do not use playful, bubbly, handwritten, neon, or overly decorative fonts.

## Spacing Rules

- Use clean spacing and generous breathing room.
- Favor consistent section padding over crowded layouts.
- Product and editorial layouts should emphasize calm rhythm, not dense marketplace grids.
- Use Tailwind spacing tokens consistently; do not add arbitrary one-off spacing unless required.

## Border Radius Rules

- Use restrained radius only.
- Preferred radius values are subtle: `sm`, `md`, and the project `soft` token.
- Avoid pill-heavy interfaces unless the element is clearly a button or small control.
- Do not use playful blob shapes or exaggerated rounded cards.

## Shadow Rules

- Shadows must be subtle, warm, and low contrast.
- Use the project `soft` shadow token for cards and elevated surfaces.
- Avoid harsh black shadows, glow effects, neon shadows, and heavy marketplace-style elevation.

## Product Card Rules

- Product cards must feel editorial and premium.
- Product imagery should be large, calm, and dominant.
- Keep product information clear and restrained.
- Use warm backgrounds, soft borders, and subtle hover transitions.
- Do not crowd cards with badges, discount stickers, loud CTAs, or marketplace-style urgency.

## Button Rules

- Primary buttons should use deep leather or rose tones with refined contrast.
- Secondary buttons should use warm borders and quiet backgrounds.
- Button text should be confident and concise.
- Avoid bright blue defaults, neon colors, loud gradients, and excessive hover motion.

## Image Direction

- Use large, high-quality imagery of genuine cow leather bags, leather texture, craftsmanship details, calm boutique scenes, and editorial product compositions.
- Rose accents may appear as subtle styling cues, muted florals, shadows, or material pairings.
- Avoid childish flowers, clip-art roses, bright pink props, overly staged stock imagery, and low-quality marketplace photos.

## Forbidden Visual Styles

- Bright pink as a dominant theme
- Neon colors or glow effects
- Cute flower graphics or childish floral decorations
- Generic SaaS layouts
- Cheap marketplace UI
- Loud discount stickers and aggressive sale banners
- Random colors outside the approved palette
- Playful blobs, novelty shapes, or cartoon styling
- Crowded product grids without editorial spacing
